Disturbed Alt

Disturbed Alt (she assures me that’s her professional name and not what her parents christened her) had promised to put a real alternative edge on my Nude Portrait project shoot with her.

I had decided to relax my usual ‘completely natural’ rule in the the hope of giving the project a broader scope and variety, but wasn’t sure what to expect from this very self assured and professional model, Beki.

I had also taken the opportunity to change my set away from the grey cove I usually used.

The change to the set was less than successful, but my disappointment at that was lost in my delight at the way Beki embraced our ideas.

My shoot plan called for the first change from the straight nude portraits to be to introduce the impression of an Amazon and we had fun turning her into a warrior, something she had never done before and was delighted with.

That should have been a fairly quick set, but once we started in on the styling and props the set took on a life of its own.

One of he reasons I don’t particularly like evening shoots is that between long days and late nights, the shoots are usually shorter than I would like.

Frustratingly, we ran out of time long before we got anywhere near finishing all we wanted to do, but on the up-side, we’d had so much fun we were all determined to shoot again soon.
