Jinkx

Alternative model and self styled ‘rock-chick’ Jinkx is not your average girl.  In fact she’s not your average anything.  With a statuesqu figure, long legs sheathed mostly in holes where jeans used to be, over leopard print tights, heavy metal tank top and horror creature tattoos, all topped off with a bright blue mohawk, Jinkx turns heads wherever she goes, and when I saw her there was no question, she had to shoot for my nude portrait project.
A few emails later we had the shoot arranged and she was on the train from Hull.
We’d agreed that the long travel time made a long shoot the only sensible option, so I was fairly confident we’d get through my shooting script, even with regular breaks for her to get a nicotine hit.
She tells me she’s shot pretty much every genre she’s interested in.  A list that doesn’t include glamour, (thats something I’ve found the best figure models have in common) but mostly she shoots art nude, and she’s very good at it 🙂
She has long legs and arms with slender hands and long fingers, and she knows how to get the best from them, so once we started into the first set, the ‘keepers’ quickly began to pile up.
She’s no slouch with the makeup either.
Predictably my optimism about getting right through the shooting script was misplaced, partly at least because Jinkx just gives great image and it’s fun shooting with her so I found myself saying “let’s just shoot that again” changing small details here and there.
Our final set of the day was in a wrinkly tin shed our neighbours use to store hay and straw bales, and that’s where I discovered this supermodel’s kryptonite.  Our seriously bad-ass rock chick is scared of spiders 🙁
The shoot could only go ahead once I’d cleared out the cobwebs ;/
It was after six when she left, hitching a ride home with a friend and by that time we were all tired but we’d got some great pix.

Cool shots, do you still have the rest of the set? The hair in the barn really works here.
