The Return of the Elf

Giovanni had introduced me to Gavin (working name Llukwell) a couple of weeks ago when he brought him in with Hara Zombiee for a two shoot in the studio.

Gavin and I had chatted by email afterwards and agreed on a series of shoots. The first to be for my nude portrait projects, followed by two further shoots focusing on Gavin’s specialty BDSM one of which will be a couple shoot.
This would be Gavin’s first nude shoot and he was clearly nervous when he walked into the camera room, but his enthusiasm one out and he soon settled to the work, delivering the shots I wanted with the minimum of fuss so that the first part of the shoot was quickly over.
He had brought along a couple of steel and leather collars which gave some of the portraits real attitude but my favourite prop was a small Elvish sword complete with Tolkeinian Elvish script engraved into the blade.  I couldn’t resist breaking my rule about props in my project shoots to get it in shot.
Because I knew I would be shooting again with Gavin, I didn’t have to squeeze everything into this shoot and I enjoyed the luxury of concentrating on nude work and being able to take my time with each set.
 
I’ve shot quite a bit of pop BDSM in the last couple of months, something I’m sure is not entirely unrelated to the phenomenal success of the 50 shades of grey series, but this guy was the real deal and I found several times that I had to stop myself chatting about this fascinating discipline and get back to taking the shots.  
 
I’m looking forward to a great learning experience with his next shoots.
