It’s over a year since Kat dropped out of modelling, something that had put a dent in my shooting schedule at the time.
So when she asked if I was interested in shooting her again it was a no-brainer, and when she arrived slimmer, more toned and, I could swear, taller than when we last shot 15 months ago, but with her wicked sense of humour firmly intact, I knew this was going to be a cracking shoot.
I wasn’t wrong 🙂
We’d planned classic and erotic artistic nude sets followed by some fetish sets, that I wanted to segue into an alternative beauty set.
Untypically, that plan held up right through the shoot, though we did run out of time before we got to the purple contact lenses 🙁
Kat had said she was ok with me doing some experimenting with lights. I’d promised myself to make a conscious effort not to slip into my usual four or five light setup, but to stick with a single light, I was determined to learn from the technique of one of my favourite togs, Igor Amelkovich who produces stunning studio based erotic nudes using a single soft box.
Sadly I could no longer adopt the other key ingredient of his work, a Hassleblad 503C. To my eternal regret my own 500CM kit had long ago been sacrificed in my shift out of pro working, and the cost of reinvesting complete with digital back is beyond my purse 🙁
By the time we wrapped, we’d agreed there was loads left to do. We’d discussed a flour shoot and a water shoot, not to mention finishing the beauty set and more art nude and fetish, then there’s some bodyscape work that appeals to both of us. Now that Kat is back, I suspect my diary is going to get a lot busier 😀

I have to say I was a bit worried of getting back to modelling after such a long break. I thought that since I gave up on it once I might not enjoy it any more but I was wrong. As always I absolutely loved it! Ian and Linda never fail with creating amazing photos as well as fantastic, comfortable atmosphere and a good laugh. Can’t wait to see the ready pics as well as another shoot 🙂
