When Grace dropped me a note saying she’d like to come back in to shoot again, I was delighted.
Few models I’ve worked are as open to new ideas and as keen to make them work as Grace, so I knew we’d be doing something new and fun.
True to form, when I told her I planned to get her out of bed before dawn, take her into the Peak District and photograph her nude on top of a snow covered hill in the sunrise light, she just said, “cool, cool”
Sadly, while we had the hill and the snow, the forecast was for heavy overcast and that’s what we got, plus some fog, so she got a lie-in and didn’t have to be at the studio until late morning.
Grace always joked that we always planned a mix of styles in our shoots, but she never seemed to get past the nude work, so this time we were determined to shoot something a little more mainstream glamour.
As it turned out, she was also determined not to miss the opportunity to shoot in the snow, so despite terrible light and sub-zero temperatures, we packed the kit out of the studio.
Without a word of complaint, Grace dropped her coat, stepped out of her boots and laid down in the snow. Cool, Cool 😀
