Karuna

Karuna is new to modelling and contacted us to ask for a portfolio shoot.  We’d just had a cancellation, so only a couple of days after we first spoke, she arrived at the studio to shoot for my Nude Portraits project and for her portfolio.

She immediately stood out as being something a little different from most of the new models we shoot.  She was just as eager to ‘get it right’ and to deliver the shots we wanted, but she was just as eager to learn everything she could about the craft of modelling.  So much so that I found myself at one point talking to her about lighting and its affect on her, and demonstrating in much the same way I would for those photographers we invite in for workshops.

With the project work done she was keen to try some figure work.  Something she hadn’t done before, then with time running out we set about getting her some glamour/fashion portfolio shots.

As always the wrap came before we’d done everything we wanted, but there’s always the next time 😉
