This shoot came about by accident.
I had been working with a model who was looking for quite a steamy boy / girl shoot and had put me in touch with Josh.
That shoot didn't happen and we went on to do the shoot later with another 'boy', but Josh was keen to go ahead with the shoot we had been planning and undertook to find another model.
In one of those strange coincidences, Josh, based an hour and a half's drive away, came up with a model that lives just a few miles from the studio, that we hadn't worked with before. Jodie.

With that great figure, legs that go all the way up to her bum, professional manner and great personality, there was no way we were going to settle for a single shoot with Natasha, and we wanted to bring her back before the end of the year to pick up some of the ideas we didn't have time for in the last shoot.

When we were arranging the shoot Sam was worried that she didn't have the right outfits for the shoot because she was very new to modelling and hadn't had the time or money to build a modelling wardrobe.
Of course I told her not to worry about it and that the only must bring was herself. I'm not sure whether that did anything to reassure her, but when she arrived at the studio she was hauling a big wheeled case, so I guested her worries had been more about new model nerves than her wardrobe.

I had photographed Monika the day after her 18th birthday and set up a Purestorm profile for her. Now she had come back to me to ask if I would do the same for her friend Grace, who had also just turned 18. Grace was happy to model for a couple of my projects, so I said yes.

Natasha is new to modelling and this was her fourth shoot, she obviously learns fast.
We'd booked her for project work but asked her to bring along some wardrobe in case we got a chance to do some portfolio work. The huge bright yellow suitcase she hauled out of the back of her car suggested she had taken us at our word.

I've worked with her a couple of times before. Both times she'd been too disorganised, or just couldn't be bothered to bring anything but the clothes she stood up in.
She's 18, got great looks, moves well for the camera and can deliver some great images, so I, and I suspect, lots of other togs, give her that bit more latitude.

I shot with new model Karen a couple of weeks ago and while chatting with her and husband Gordon it became obvious that they were more than a little interested in the idea of a couple shoot.
Now I don't do family shoots, but that wasn't what they had in mind, plus, Gordon was willing to pose for some of my project work, so I was in.

This would be the third time I have worked with Stacey.
Stacey describes herself as a glamour model, so you probably wouldn't expect to find her in my studio more than once. I rarely do straight 'nuts' type glamour work.

Beth had recommended Rachel, saying she had loved the latest pix I'd done of Beth, and had asked about a shoot with me.

When I shot with Carol she'd told me her friend Karen was just getting into modelling and might be interested in shooting with me.
When we set up the shoot, Karen had been worried that she didn't have much in the way of wardrobe to bring to the shoot, so I was a little surprised when her husband Gordon carried an obviously well stuffed case into the studio.

The plan was for a location shoot at Bretton, set against the Henry Moore bronzes, but with an unseasonably warm and sunny day filling the park with visitors and with harsh sunlight there was little chance of getting anything worthwhile.
Plan B was to work in a nearby orchard for the first part of the shoot and then getting onto Oxley Bank for the sunset light. The orchard offered the additional bonus of allowing Kat to take her fee in apples and pears.
We struggled with the strong light in the orchard, and no assistant to hold a diffuser, but Kat was as patient and flexible as ever as we worked...

Jill's shoot should have been a straightforward portrait shoot for my projects, but one of the advantages of shooting with older models is that they tend to bring a good wardrobe. Jill had brought along some good looking lingerie and leather, so I wanted to make time at the end of the planned sets to make the most of it.

Carol had contacted me a while ago suggesting we work together.
By that time I was well into my 'Nude Portraits' project and both Linda and Janine had commented that the project had very little diversity. It reflects the current amateur modelling scene which is for the most part, young women in their late teens and early twenties.
So bringing in Carol, who is in her forties seemed a good idea.

Stef's not big on small talk, so with few preliminaries, she walked onto the set ready to work.
She said this was her first 'proper' shoot, though she had posed for friends in college, so I expected some nerves and shyness, but while she was obviously inexperienced and needed a lot of guidance and direction, there was no hesitation when it came to taking off her robe and getting into the first shot. She is a girl of few words and it took me a little while to get used to her almost total silence during the shoot, but thinking back to models who just never shut-up, I wasn't complaining :)

This was the second of the two shoots we had organised to get Nina something a little different in her portfolio. She had asked me to recreate some of the more editorial style nudes she had seen in my portfolio. The first shoot had seen her nude atop a rock outcrop in the cool early morning breeze. This one was in the warmth of the studio and would kick off with some work for one of my projects and then get into Nina's portfolio work.

I worked with Kat a couple of months ago and found her great to work with, not least because she shares my view that unless the clothes are really special, nude makes for more pleasing images.
We had agreed then to work together again soon, but missed messages got in the way and it didn't happen, so I was delighted when a spur of the moment invitation to her to shoot again, got an immediate and warm reception.

Louisa had written to me asking for a shoot when she decided to get into modelling.
We set up a shoot and then, the evening before, she asked if it would be ok to bring a friend Amy, and by the way, Amy would like to do a shoot sometime too.
